Camp out!

Every Friday and Saturday night Bryson and Preston like to have a Camp Out on their bedroom floor. They stay up late, eat popcorn and watch a movie... then fall asleep. i went in this night and saw them in the same position and I thought it was too cute.
It reminded me of that part in the "Scarlet Letter" when the mother is talking about how peaceful her child looks while she is sleeping and then... she wakes up! Like most kids, the boys wake up and go... immediatly. I guess I like the quite times for just a little bit.

Cookies with Daddy!

Darren rarely will eat cookies and milk. But he stopped by the store to get dinner and came home with Chips Ahoy! Funny how men always have their own lists! Weston watched him dips his cookie in and then walked right over to Dad to do the same. Oh how fast they learn!

So this is taken at about 8:00 at night, Darren has hat hair and is ready for bed! Thanks for being a sport and letting me take your pic!

Spaghetti Monday!

OK, So this is all about Weston again, sometimes I think he steals the spotlight. But I looked over during dinner and this was him... covered in spaghetti and loving every minute of it!

He has a puzzled look on his face here... like "why are you taking a picture of me eating?"

I love this one, it captures just how much he loves to eat! he'll get all the food out one way or another!

Valentines Day!

For Valentines day we took the boys up Butterfield canyon to ride behind the 4-Wheeler on their sleds. Our friends the Parkers joined us. We had such a wonderful time, the snow was lightly falling, no one had been on the road yet so it was fresh powder, and it was quiet!
We were riding for about 2 hours, which I thought Weston would be screaming about. But he and I sat in the JetSled and he absolutly loved it! Infact on the way back to the car he fell asleep!
Such a fun day with our boys... We love you!

Weston is walking!

Weston jsut took off walking today. He has been teasing us with walking since about Thanksgiving. And for the last month or so he has been going back and forth between Darren and I. Today he took off from the couch alone and is doing great. Overshot the 1 year goal by only 12 days! Way to go Wes!

Happy Superbowl Birthday - Weston!

Weston is now 1 years old... holy cow how fast time flys. I came home from the hospital last year on superbowl Sunday, it was also the Sunday that about 20" of snow fell at our house. I will always remember that, and how appropriate that his first birthday is also on the Superbowl. I look at how small he was then and how big he is now and think where has the time gone? I cannot remember what life was like without him in our family, he is a great addition to my life with boys! Weston has been a happy baby and very content since his arrival, now if he wants something he will sign for it... thank you ASL for introducing this to babies.

Balloon fairy came to decorate his room while he selpt. The fairy was smart to only leave a few balloons and no confetti on the floor.

Weston loves to clap, and talks about everything. Okay so he doesn't use words, except dada, but he sure thinks he is talking. The next 6 months, before they get out of control is so much fun. I love to watch how much their little minds learn.

My boys on Superbowl Sunday! I didn't get pics of everyone but Grandma an Grandpa Willis, Kyle, Kari and Alex and he boyfriend Mike with his 3 boys were all there. Grandma and Grandpa Steck were sick and unable to make it.

Once again, it is cake making time. Weston really doesn't have a "favorite" thing for a birthday theme, so seeing as it is Superbowl... what else do you make?

I must have about 20 of these pictures, I love the first birhtday and cake eating. He never really torn it apart, but he did really like to eat it. Weston is a tank when it comes to eating, I have never seen a 1 year old put down as much food as he can. I fear for the years to come!
