10 year Anniversary!

WOW! It has officially been 10 years that Darren and I have been married, what an amazing adventure it has been. I am so grateful for Darren and the man that he is, we have had so much fun together in the last 10 years (13 since we started dating) and I am looking forward to an eternity more. Please forgive me on the pictures below, I had to scan them all into the computer. It is amazing how much has changed in 10 years... our honeymoon camera was still film.

This is our engagement picture...

One of the pics at our wedding
The tornado that hit SLC took out our wedding spot, so we took our pictures a week prior to the wedding.

Darren and I were sealed in 2002 when Bryson was 5 weeks old, it was an amazing experience and the missing piece to our marriage.
We have decided to celebrate our anniversary on a 7 night Southern Caribbean Cruise. That was such a hard decision for me to make to think of us as a couple and spend money on us. Most times as parents we put our kids needs and wants before our own. But I am so excited to go and not have to worry about focusing on anyone else other than Darren and I, and our wants and needs. Although I know that I will want to check in with the kids daily and I will miss them like crazy, we are in need of a get away.
For our anniversary today we spent it together at a golf tournament that our company was sponsoring - romantic I know - but we are trying to save money and it was nice to be alone as a couple on the day we were married. Darren had YM's that night so I stayed with my other (little) men and watched what has transpired in the last 10 years.
I am so happy we have the great family we do, I realize everyday how lucky we are to have gotten pregnant each time and been given this chance to be parents to 3 amazing boys. They have completed our family, with each new addition we get a missing piece we didn't know was missing. The boys are amazing!
Thank you Darren for all you do for our family, and for loving and accepting me for who I am. I look forward to each day that I get to be your wife and mother of our children. You are truly my best friend, my lover and my true companion.

Preston first day of Preschool

Preston misses the Kindergarten cut off by 1 day, a year ago I was all geared up to fight the system and get him in. Now after a year of preschool I am so glad that I didn't. He is smart alright, reading small books, knows all his letters, shapes and numbers. But when it comes to socializing he just isn't grasping that. So I am glad we have another year for him to be more prepared, he will do better being the oldest and not the youngest.

Ready to go, and leave the house for the first day.

I don't know what the muscle man pose is all about but it is becoming very common in his pictures.

Preston outside his school, waiting for his teaching to come get him.

Preston and his teacher Mrs. Sheri, there are the muscles again. Bye Preston, have another great year in school!

Lost July fun

I found these pictures while organizing my photo folders, this happened back in July and cracked me up so much I had to blog it...
I went to a RS meeting, before I had left I had the boys coloring at the kitchen table. Darren had taken out a marker and drawna circle on Weston's face. I laughed but didn't think much of it. When I got home an hour later this is what I saw playing on the front lawn... I had to take a picture of him (however now I cannot recall why his is abck in his seat?... hmmm the mind of a mommy!)
Enjoy ... try not to smile I dare you.

Bryson goes to 2nd Grade!

Holy cow! I cannot believe that Bryson is starting 2nd grade, that seems so crazy to me. He was super excited though, I cannot say that the first day went so well for mommy. On Saturday before he started we took him over to Old Navy and he picked out a bunch of new shirts, and rugby's... Bryson is totally a styling boy.
I got up early enough (so i thought) to get all the boys going. Have a fun morning before school and get to school with time to take pictures. The morning went well, at 8:10 we were heading out the door when everything went downhill... Preston couldn't find his shoes that I thought he already had on, Weston did not want to get in the car and once we all got in the car I could not find the keys. By the time keys were found and the youger brothers were settled it was 8:20 and school starts in 5 minutes. So we hussled over to the school to find the bell rung and the 2nd graders already in their class. We ran inside tried to find his class, finally found it all the kids were sitting down for "carpet/circle time" and in walks Bryson, Late on his first day of school.... UGGGHH One of those moments you wish you had prepared more. Then on my way to get Bryson, I leave work and go to pick him up, I forgot about the construction and got held up, I was 10 minutes late... man what a day.
Dispite all the Mommy organization set backs, Bryson had a really good first day and likes his teacher Miss Loser who has been teaching 2nd grade for 10 years. Have a great year at 2nd grade Bry!

I told him to strike a pose...

Styling in his new Golf shirt! He is so handsome

This is me running, trying to capture the late moment!

First day, round 2 :)

Leaving to go into class!

Walking in the school, with his wheels on... (when Bryson moves he spins his hands and an incredible rate and those are his wheels that make him move.)

Bryce Canyon and Kings Creek

We went down to Bryce Canyon this past weekend, what a beautiful area of our state. It is funny when you live in Utah you take this beauty for granted, here it is 4 hours from our backyard. We were the minority at the park, all the tourist were from overseas somewhere (Italy, France, Germany ect.) and didn't speak English. Oh what I would have given to hear what they think of my backyard. I want to create a love for it in my boys so that they will always cherish where we live. Here are a few pics, more to come later...
