Bryson is 8!!!

Bryson turned 8 - WOW where in the world did that time go for me? He was so excited to turn 8 and feel like a big kid.... going to start 3rd grade... man life is good! Right on schedule the Birthday Fairy arrived and trashed his room a bit more then years past - I can only assume each year will get more intense...

Draping on the door

Confetti on the floor

Streamers and balloons from the ceiling

More Balloons on the floor

The confetti... just a side note - tiny and not entirely thought through by the birthday fairy

Bryson on his birthday morning... loving his room
We took him out for an adventure for his birthday instead of a friend party this year. Which will work out better since I have his baptism to plan still. We went to toys-R-us which is a birthday staple right? And played around then went to lunch and came home to go swimming over at the Kearns rec center - the weather was perfect.

Daddy and Weston enjoying the sun

Weston not wanting his picture taken

Bryson coming down the kiddie slide

Preston coming down the kiddie slide

Playing in the water

Bryson - I think he could have stayed there all day long

Preston - he would get cold the minute he got out of the water
After dinner we took him over to the Olympic Oval for some free skating time which he loves to do and will go as often as we take him.

Weston obviously doesn't skate - we walk the track... made it a mile this night.

Preston biffing it

The end of his fall...

Bryson telling Dad all about how fast he can go - we then started timing him on his laps... did pretty good.

On your mark... get set.... GO!

We had Grandma and Grandpa's over for a quick cake and ice cream later that night. I was totally lazy and bought his cake. hope he will forgive me.

Putting in the candles

Float Boat fishing - Current Creek

Darren took up our neighbor and his son, and his father to Current Creek for a fishing day - He needed an out to refresh his mind from being out of work. He loves fishing and it's totally his relaxing refresh, so I sent him very willingly :)

Sparkler Fun!

After the park and Wheeler farm we came home and did sparklers with the boys - this is always fun for the boys. We forgot to get some for Saturday night so this was a nice to be able to celebrate 2 days of July 4th instead of just one.

Preston was running like crazy! It was hard to get him to hold still to take his pic so this is a bit out of focus

Weston and his first sparkler - it took him about 15 minutes before he decided it was safe.

Loving it now!

All the boys playing with around - yes we are potty training :)

Weston still a bit unsure

Bryson and Preston - loving it, till it became a game of who could get it put out the fastest on the sprinkler that was running on the grass.

Bryson - he was about to start his 'wheels'

Preston - sporting 2 at a time

More 4th of July fun - Wheeler Farm

We took Monday the 5th and went on an adventure since we didn't have to go into work! took the boys to Wheeler Farm - a family favorite - which my boys can never seem to remember by name but are always super excited when we get there. I love the farm, I love the picture opportunities and I love watching them get excited about the animals.
After the farm we went to Sugar House Park and had a picnic and let the boys play around. They had a great time and were so worn out! We came home and they tried to swim but were too tired for that - so we ended up vegging for a bit - which I must admit was really nice

4th of July

Our 4th was pretty kicked back this year. My family was out of town, school had just gotten out for Bryson and Preston and Darren had been out of town most of the week. We really just stayed around the house, had a BBQ and lite some home fireworks off. Even still we had a good time.

My boys and Shontelle our friends daughter

Watching the show... Weston kept on saying More Dad - it was so much fun to have him enjoy it this year.

Still loving it

Preston's Last Day of PreSchool!

Today was Preston's last day of Preschool - it was a sad day for me... the teach that taught him for two years and Bryson for two years is retiring. Ms. Sherry is an amazing teacher - one that counsels the parents of a needs child and gives you the the strength and uplift you need to make it another little while. I could use one of her talks right now. We will miss her. Preston on the other hand is excited to go to Bryson's school and kindergarten with his best buds Briggs and Stockton (twins) so his is looking forward to that... Mom on the other hand is terrified as to how he will adjust to it.

Music Time
Playing the symbol

He is singing the song - Thumbs up, elbows in, bum out, eyes shut, tongue out... song - Maybe no one knows what I am talking about

This is him doing all the stages of the song.

Final moments

Mrs Sherry opening her present. We got her a figurine entitled "The inquisitive Child" that fits Preston perfectly.

One last hug - we love you Sherry
