Christmas at the Willis's

After Christmas at the Steck's we went up to my parents house, they kept the tradition of my Grandparents going of Christmas morning breakfast and gifts. I look forward to it every holiday. The food was super yummy - I was completely stuffed by the time it was over. Two meals in 2 hours was too much... We were able to have gifts with everyone there except Kevin and his family who spent the holiday home in Meza. At the end my Mom took out these boxes that No One could open till we all had one... then in one big start we all opened them to find ping pong shooting guns and thus started the WAR of WARS shooting each other and running around the house. It was a great re-enactment of Christmas 2000 where we had the same things but no grand kids yet. It was a wonderful afternoon - thanks Mom and Dad

Okay - there is a story here. My Mom wanted to give the grandson's a Grandma's stay over bag. So we picked this style from one of our suppliers, each child go their own color with their name on it. Inside was filled with gifts and blankets. A great idea UNTIL.... I ordered the wrong bag. This style come in a large and small style. We wanted the small style, but I got the large ones - and boy are they large! Preston is entirely inside his and their is room to spare. But they will be great for sports and such and we still love them.

Christmas Day at the Stecks

Darren's parents decided to have breakfast this year so we went there before my Mom's house. The boys each got great gifts from Grandma and Grandpa - the food was yummy and we had a great time talking with each other. Thanks Mom and Dad Steck, it was a wonderful way to spend our morning.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning came, just as we knew it would and whether we were ready or not it was here. Preston was so anxious to get start he was up at 2;00, 3:00 and then Up for good at 5:00 where he tried to hold still in our bed till 6:30 when Bryson woke up. Poor Weston got woke up but could tell from his brothers excitement how much fun was about to come. The boys seemed to be happy with everything they got and Darren and I sat back and enjoyed watching them tear into everything.

Christmas Eve has defiantly changed, but it's also nice to have a simple quiet evening. We had my parents over for dinner and Kyle and Kami came as well. It was great to have a nice full home for the evening.

My Dad and Darren

Darren giving me his BEST camera face

Kami and Kyle brought the boys a matching game, Preston "beat" Kami every time...

Kami and Kyle were brave enough to come eat my food, it was great having them with us to enjoy the night.
Bryson did a musical number with his recorder of Jingle Bells He did a great job

Preston sang us - after much convincing - I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas - it was so very cute with no front teeth

As a standard part of our Christmas Eve we gave the boys new PJ's and slippers. They were so excited to put them on and tack some pics, Preston was super excited and I think I got about 6 poses from him!
Preston = Superman
Bryson = Mario and Friends

Weston = Dragons and Elmo

It took about 6 shots but I finally got it... They won't all be staggered for too much longer.
After everyone left we sat and read I believe in Santa - we like to help the boys remember that Christmas is about Christ and then Twas the Night before Christmas. Which I cannot read without thinking of 9th grade choir. We then tucked the anxious boys to bed and settled in for Santa to come!
