Preston's Front Teeth

Preston's front teeth have been loose for what seems like months now. Finally one of them fell out! Preston is really funny with loosing his teeth. He wasn't to remove them on his own and will not allow Darren or I to help him. And so it was with this one, he took it out and then came to show us his trophy! His first front tooth fell out on the 1st of November, it didn't take long for the other one to loosen right up.

Sporting his new smile

His second tooth however was hanging on for dear life!

This tooth would move when he talks - it gave me chills every time - but he wanted to take it out when he was ready ...
Finally he took the other front tooth out while we were at my office -
Now I know what to get him for Christmas!

Halloween

Halloween was an eventful one - as you can guess with all the rain. It did seem to slow us down. Preston made it about 5 houses as he wasn't feeling good. Weston made it about 10 and then Bryson and I got about 20 or so. It was cold, But still fun. I made Preston and Bryson's costumes as the retail ones were just too cheesey for me.

All Dressed up and ready for Candy

Preston wanted to be a knight - I thought this was odd, until I figured out that he had finally found a way to get a sword in our home! he is a smart boy...
Preston came down with a little cold so he wasn't too happy
Thumbs up Sonic!
Okay - this Costume was a challenge, but I pulled it off! Man I am glad I have boys that will wear this again. The spiking hat was crazy!

My Bad Harley Dude Weston - I love his face here.

Heading out in the rain... okay

My Mom had dinner Sunday - these are my boys and cousin Alex and Kaylee

Bring on Scouting!

Bryson has been in scouts now for about 2 months. He has really enjoyed it. However - I am a new mom to all this and had no idea how the scouting program works or what I needed to do. Darren went through the scouting program and got his Eagle and is serving as the 1 councilor in the YW so he is the Varsity scout leader - so we are set for Boy Scouts, however Cub Scouts... well, he doesn't recall much about that. So after not seeing anything in 2 months I finally got his cub master on the phone to get told how this all works out. After that he earned his Bobcat - he was so excited.
That night he got to do the flag ceremony.

I like this part about scouts, each time the scout achieves a level he has to bring his Mom up to give her recognition as well. It's our way of being part of our boy's scouting life! I was so honored to be with him. All this is so new to me, and I am excited to watch my boys grown up in scouting

This is him getting the award - yes YaYa wanted to be part of party

Bryson is putting the Bobcat pin on me

After the scout pins it on he has to kiss his mother - eww yuck, in front of everyone! - Again, something I like. They are trying to help these boys understand the respect they need for their Moms. Darren tried to capture it but I did it too quick. He headed for my cheek, but I turned last minute to lay one on him!

And finally - each scout gets to pick a cheer at the end of their award. Everyone stands and does a cheer for each scout! I love the recognition of it all. We are doing the Alligator Cheer for Bryson

We have a lot more to go - about 16 years with all our boys - I am sure by the end I will be a pro and have it all under control. But I am excited for this journey and so proud of Bryson's desire to earn his badges.

Ouchie!

Bryson left to go to a friends house and Weston didn't want him to go. So he went outside to follow him and fell down our 3 cement stairs. Got the side of his face and munched up - I hate seeing my kids hurt.

Got the side of his eye, and his nose the most. His nose was swollen for a day or so.

Tile for the Bathroom

When we bought our home we had every intention of laying tile in our bathrooms. And even though we bought the tile at the time of buying the house... life happens and projects gets set aside. This was not one of those things we HAD to do but instead something we thought we make it look nicer. So! Darren decided that now was the time and he got started this weekend. I am so happy that he can things like this.

Weston was so cute and right there with him all along the way

End of day one, cut up and replaced wood that had water damage, laid backer board, laid tile... oh and half way through all this we found out our home was only getting 1/3 of the amount of power it should, Rocky Mtn Power will fix that next week.

4 days later after the dry time and tile cutting it was completed. That many days without a bathroom for the boys was a challenge - all I can think of is how blessed I am!

Now on to the mater bath - that will be a mess!

Pumpkin Patch Picking!

Darren's parents took our family for pumpkin patch fun for FHE - we had a great time! It had been raining earlier so I thought it would be a muddy mess - but it wasn't really. since the weather was slightly cool there weren't very many families there.

Bryson found his right off the bat

Grandpa Paul and Preston look for his

Preston and his winner

This is Darren and Paul looking down at the 50 lb one that Darren wanted - they were fight over who should pick it up. Both of them were equally playing "injuries and age"

Weston found one just his size - he was so very proud that he could carry it.

Here are the Guys again - over the 50 lb pumpkin - our nephew Cameron wasn't going to pick it up either... although he finally did. He is a good kid, he'll be going to the Marine Core the end of October.

My sweet hubby

There was a corn maze the boys found - this is Bry running through it

Our barrel of pumpkins

Grandpa and Weston taking the pumpkins over to be weighed! He is such a good helper boy.

All my boys chasing a chicken that got loose from the coop! I was laughing so hard. Darren finally grabbed it and threw it over the fence.

Didn't turn out light enough - but this is the burnt mountain in Herriman, Darren's parents house was about a mile or so from the base of the mountain.

After the pumpkins we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's for some smores and a camp fire. The boys had a great time roasting and chatting with us. Nothing better then a camp fire.

Everyone around the campfire.

Daddy, Weston and Bryson - Darren makes the best marshmallows!

My boys - man I love these guys.
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Steck for a fun family night!
