Snowmobiling Fun!

For my birthday Darren gave me a 3 day retreat with the kids to Bear River Lodge to go snowmobiling. It was so much fun! The cabins up there are wonderful and make a super fun place to go as a family in winter or summer. We arrive about 3:00 on Thursday and were able to pick up the snowmobiles that night around 4:00 - so we went for a quick ride before dinner. Came back and had a great steak dinner - watched a movie and put the kids to bed. The pull our bed had a horrible mattress so the boys didn't last long on it. Weston was in our bed and Preston was on and off for sleeping. It made for a 'hard' next day. We left Friday for a hope of having a long day of riding and seeing amazing things. Instead we got out for about an hour, Preston started crying and was done. Weston was tired and done. So we headed back. Weston fell asleep on the way back which made driving a challenge. We went back and took a riding rest - we were able to go back out again a bit later on before we had to turn them in. Friday late afternoon we spent sledding with the boys. Saturday morning was spent packing up and getting checked out. Before we left the boys went sledding again for about an hour and then we headed back to Salt Lake.
It was such a nice weekend, fun to get away as a family and do something fun outside. Thanks Babe for setting this up and taking us out!

Nice cheeser grin by my goofy hubby
Just another view of the room
Bryson out side of the cabin going down a snow bank that they made into a sledding hill - we got in trouble for this later as it was causing them to shovel the walk... opps
Preston and his sledding hill.
This is Weston - he is stuck... I went to get him and was up to my thigh in snow
We don't have a big bath tub in our home so naturally this was a novelty and the boys got into it both nights.
On Friday we went riding out for about 2 hours. We stopped for a bit and the boys went down this hill for a bit. It doesn't look very step but they would go for about 30 yards or more.

After our morning ride - Darren went with Bryson for a bit longer and I went back with the younger boys to play in the cabin. Both Preston and Weston didn't want to ride anymore.
Darren grabbed a few great shots of Bryson 'driving' while they were out on their adventure ride

WHAT? I'm not doing anything...
Bryson and Preston going down the hill behind the cabins - they had so much fun sledding and didn't want to stop.
Daddy and Weston
My sweet Weston, he was such a trooper with all the bundling we had to do

I love this shot, he was so scared and only went 10 feet down to me waiting to catch him. He is still very unsure about sledding. He even is worried when he goes with Darren or I. But we'll get him liking it soon enough
We found this great hill behind teh cabins - it was nice and long. The boys must have gone down it a couple dozen times. That night was super quiet and full of tired out kids!
Resting after another long climb up the mountain
Preston was having so much fun

Preston, Weston and I coming back up the hill - that was enough exercise for a week.
