Preston's First Day of Preschool
Preston got to share his birthday with his first day of Preschool. We have him in the same preschool Bryson was in which is an Integrated preschool with Ms. Sheri. We love Ms Sheri she is a woman of many talents. If my children can learn from her how not to judge those who are less fortunate they will be set for life. Preston's school is Falcon Ridge which isn't close to our home, about 10 minutes away. He goes Monday - Thursday for 2 hours each day. So I get Bryson off to school, come home for a few minutes and take Preston to school. Mornings have become busy around our house.
Outside the school waiting for Ms. Sheri to come out to get him
Walking away from me, he is ready to go off to school and is so excited. I on the other hand am having a harder time sending him than I did with Bryson.
Here is Ms Sheri, Preston is holding his birthday treat to share wiht the class. I had someone aske me why I have him in with "special needs" kids... why not I asked. Then I explained the experience I had at the Open House. In came a mother and her 4 year old daughter who is completely unresponsive and is in a stroller. When most people would look the other way not knowing what to say, Ms Sheri walked right up to her. She grabbed he out of the stroller, sat her on her lap and began to talk to her. She had to hold her head up, as you would a newborn, to make a point to look into this little girls eyes. Ms Sheri didn't talk to her like sbe didn't understand, she talked to her the same as she did to Preston. She looked at her and said, your in there, I see you. That is why I want my kids around her, I love her passion.

Prestons 4th Birthday
Preston turned 4 today... wow I can hardly beleive that he is already 4. We love having him is our family, even if he is a red head! I had a hard time not giving him a friend birthday party, but it came up so fast and was the day after Labor Day this year so that didn't help with things. So we did a quick family and friends get together for cake and ice cream. It seemed to work well for him and was all that he needed to help him have a great Birthday.
I have this desire that should be killed to make my kids birthday cakes. Preston wanted a Speed racer party, there is nother Speed Racer out there for a party. So I did my best and created a race track cake. This picture is bad, really the cake was one of my better ones.
Waiting to blow out the candles
Huge Coloring book! Wow that give him hours of coloring fun.
Bryson wanted to help with the candles, we had a bit of a fight for a minute then got back onto the festivities
More presents - thanks to all of you who came!

Lagoon!
We took the boys to Lagoon for the first time this year, it was really a fun afternoon. The boys could not get enough of the rides. What surprised me the most was the Bryson wanted to ride a BIG rollercoaster. I kept thinking that if he just saw the big ones he would stop asking, so we took him over to Wild Mouse... he wanted to go so he and I went. He freaked out a bit on the first turn but started laughing after I reassured him that it was okay. Then, he asked if we could go on Colussus. So onto the ride we went, he was so excited. I tried to help prep him for how fast it was and how it would feel. Once we went off the hill and up the first loop, he was a bit nervous. I spent the ride holding his head against seat. He wanted to go again, but we went back to the kiddy rides so Preston could go on some rides too.

Bryson - First Grade!
Bryson started First Grade today, I can hardly believe that he is old enough to go full days of school. He is so excited and likes school lunch the most. His first comment about his first day was "It was really long Mom". But he survived. We sat down and marked the lunch calendar of food he will eat and what he won't eat. He can't wait to go back!
New School cloths! Bryson picked out this vest at Old Navy, which was shocking in and of it's self. Usually anything that is dressy is a no go. If it has buttons and it's not Sunday you can count that out as well. He is a t-shirt kinda guy! What you can't see are his favorite new black chuckie shoes. He loves them.Friday, August 15, 2008

Camping at Aspen Grove

We went Camping FINALLY this year. I have been a big baby and have not wanted to go with Weston in the tent. It was simply not somehthing I wanted to try. Oh and I am convinced that a bear is going to rip one of us out of the tent. Not much to say from someone that grew up camping. But we went with our friends Rich and Trina, and ended up having a wonderful time!

The boys started jumping their bikes off the picnic table cement pad. It had about a 18" drop so they were getting pretty good air. Byrson for being my "precise" boy has no fear and would not stop sometime ending up in the side of Rich and Trina's trailer.
Preston kept up with the big kids - Big Wheel and all. I was surprised at how well it went on the dirt.
Yep that is Darren trying to be one of the "big kids" shortly after this picture my battery died so I didn't get any pics of the kids jumping over Darren who laid down at the jump.
